Offline Management System
Version 1.0.457 of Simpleran introduced an Offline Management System which is available on demand and supportes the following features:
- Management GUI which does not require internet connection
- Change all eNB, gNB and Core Network Parameters
- Add and delete SIM Cards
- Use Amarisoft Websocket and Amarisoft Web GUI to monitor radio statistics and UE's in real-time
- Full Offline Monitoring: Monitor all eNB, gNB and Core Network Promises
Restrictions of the Offline Mode
Note: "NMS" means Network Management Station, which we also refer to SlapOS Master. panel.rapid.space is the public NMS hosted in our cloud. NMS can also be self-hosted ("NMS on premise").
Note: if you are self-hosting the NMS, "online" refers to when the ORS is connected to the NMS and "offline" when it is not.
- Offline Panel will have no effect if the ORS is not offline
- Once the ORS is online it will switch to online mode only and changing parameters in the offline GUI will have no effect (in a future release it will be explicitly disabled once ORS is online)
- All changes done offline will be lost once the ORS goes back online
- Once ORS goes back online, all changes done offline are deleted and ORS reverts to what is configured on the NMS. If you have added any SIM cards in Offline mode they will also be deleted once ORS goes back online (unless you also configure them on the main NMS)
- KPI's and Statistics will not be computed when in offline mode
- During the time the ORS is offline, radio statistics will not be collected. If once the ORS returns back online you will not be able to view statistics of the period the ORS was offline.
- The Offline Panel can only be accessed from the same LAN, on a Local IPv6 URL. Offline panel URL cannot be a IPv4 LAN Address
- For security reasons only devices connected to the same LAN as the ethernet port of the ORS can access the offline panel. Devices connected to that LAN will get assigned an IPv6 by the ORS using Router Advertisments (the equivalent of DHCP for IPv6). Note that you do not need internet IPv6 connectivity, the IPv6 you receive is local and and the Router Advertisement protocol is widely supported without any configuration (Linux, Mac, Windows).
