In theory, it is possible to use OCP servers sold on shop.rapid.space with any x86_64 operating system (GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, Windows, etc.) or with any hypervisor (VMWare, Proxmox, Xen, OpenStack, etc.). However, this is something which Rapid.Space does not support. It takes actually quite some time to understand all the details of OCP servers, especially their BMC or BIOS.

This is why Rapid.Space provides a well-supported, managed solution based on Debian GNU/Linux operating system and SlapOS operation management system with full documentation. Through Rapid.Space's managed solution and para virtualization, most  x86_64 operating system (GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, Windows, etc.) are well-supported without any issues related to drivers or BIOS details.

We are aware that Rapid.Space's Tioga Pass servers manufactured by MITAC are certified for VMWare hypervisor. Some partners of Rapid.Space are also VMWare partners and may thus be able to offer support for VMWare hypervisor too.
