How To Prepare Client Project On Rapid.Space Panel
This tutorial teaches you how to prepare a project (AKA virtual master) for a client on panel.rapid.space
Check Sale Packing List for Project Details
You should first check the Sale Packing List for project details: Sale Packing Lists to ship
The comment field should indicate which project to use. If it is an existing project, then find that project and simply make sure everything is configured correctly, and update software products and allocation supplies if needed (this will likely be needed as software releases are frequently updated), else you will need to create it.
Create and or Setup Virtual Master (Project)
Here are currently the steps to create a new virtual master (in the future there will be a button to do all this)
- If project doesn't exist yet, create a ticket on Nexedi Lille Office project and ask the creation of a virtual master for ORS with rapidspace.ors as owner
- Use SNCF GRANVILLE as a reference for how you should configure your project. Please note that it should be a recent enough project. Update the link if the project is too old.
- Configure the following software products by using Nexedi Lille Office project as a reference:
- ORS
- BBU if there will be BBU in the project
- Don't forget to add "Instantiation Descriptor URL" in software release
- ORS Duo if there will be ORS Duo in the project
- Mail Server
- Galene
- Monitor
- apache-frontend
- Wendelin
- Create a ticket to ask for ORS team to be added as manager
- Add remote node for Frontend (Canary CDN)
- Add remote node for Wendelin (Wendelin Telecom)
- Using this project as a reference, add the following allocation supplies:
- Frontend: apache-frontend product for Frontend remote node
- Wendelin Telecom eNB Shared Instance: wendelin product on Wendelin remote node
- ORS Services: on ORS compute nodes with following products:
- ORS: all software types
- Mail Server: all software types
- Galene: all software types
- Monitor: all software types
- (only if you will have ORS DUO on this project) ORS Duo Services: on ORS Duo compute nodes with following products:
- ORS Duo: all software types
- Mail Server: all software types
- Galene: all software types
- Monitor: all software types
