How To Request A Rapid.Space Re6st Token

This tutorial will show you how to request a token for the free re6st network.

Requirement List

1. You need a validated login account on Rapid Space Panel

2. You need user access on Re6st Registries project. To make sure, you have access, click on the link, if you see "Cannot find document: project_module/20210319-1037EC" or you are redirected to the login page, it means you don't have access. If you don't have access, contact RapidSpace team through a ticket in order to get access.

Log in to Rapid.Space Panel and click Home then click Request, you should see a list of project, select "Re6st Registries" and then click the orange button "Request".

You will be presented with a list of available software release, select the one labeled "Re6stnet". If there are several, pick the one with the greatest version. Then click "Request" again.

Request Token (3/3)

RapidSpace Panel - Request page 3

Give a name easily identifiable to your service and select the Software Type Re6st Token. Leave the Computer drop-down menu empty. Finally, click Request button again.

Token Allocation

RapidSpace Panel - Instance Tree page

You will be redirected to your Instance Tree (service) page corresponding to your token. At the beginning there will be no "Connection Parameters" (as in the image above). Refresh the page until you see the Connection Parameters. Note that the instantiation for a Re6st token will require 10+ minutes. You can add a short title to this Instance Tree to better identify it in case you gave a wrong title (you can't change the title after the first request). Copy the token.

Note, that if you are using this Re6st token, you must use the the Re6st registry (http://re6stnet.gnet.erp5.cn/). So if you want to use the single line Re6st installer, make sure to use the installer in the gnet/ folder (meaning: https://deploy.rapid.space/gnet/re6st) when later installing Re6st on a machine with this token (it will have the correct registry URL).

List of Services

RapidSpace Panel - Instance Tree page

Click on Home to see the list of your services. If you have too many, search for some keywords in the search bar at the top. You will see that the token you have requested is actually an allocated computer partition on one of the servers of Rapid.Space with specific re6st software installed. If you click again on your service after installing re6st on your server, you will see that the IPv6 of your server is displayed in the Connection Parameters.
