How To Connect Your ORS To Third Party's Core Network On Panel

Join your project on panel.rapid.space

You must first join your project on panel.rapid.space with the invitation link given in the email. Please make sure you are already logged in with your account before clicking the link.

 

Find the ENB and GNB services

 

In the "Services" section, you will find two services named orsX-enb and orsX-gnb (where X is your ORS number). This might differ if you ordered your ORS only for LTE or only for NR.

Choose Parameters

To connect to another core network:

  • (GNB only) AMF Address: IPv4 of the core network for GNB
  • (ENB only) MME Address: IPv4 of the core network for ENB
  • (GNB only) gNB ID: Assign another ID to gNB instead of the default 0x12345
  • (ENB only) gNB ID: Assign another ID to eNB instead of the default 0x12345


You can also adjust the following parameters:

  • RX / TX gain: gain of the RF transceivers
  • (ENB only) DL EARFCN: Downlink E-UTRA Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number, changes the downlink central frequency
  • (GNB only) DL NR ARFCN: Downlink NR Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number, changes the downlink central frequency
  • (GNB only) NR band
  • (ENB only) DL RB: Downlink Ressource Blocks, changes the bandwidth (Values: 6 (1.4 MHz), 15 (3MHz), 25 (5MHz), 50 (10MHz), 75 (15MHz), 100 (20MHz))
  • (GNB only) Bandwidth: bandwidth in MHz (40MHz maximum)

Stop and Start the services

Stop other ors service (eg. orsX-lte, ors-nr, orsX-enb if you are using orsX-gnb), and start orsX-gnb (or stop orsX-gnb and start orsX-enb). 
Services should not be started at the same time as ORS do not support 4G and 5G simultaneously.
