Q:Why doesn't ORS provide a service from under LAN ?

A: ORS services are requested on Rapid.Space SlapOS Master, which is publicly used to manage a lot of servers and services (https://slapos.nexedi.com/).

There are 2 methods to use ORS under LAN:

Add LAN access to ORS with root user in the software release (https://lab.nexedi.com/nexedi/slapos/tree/master/software/ors-amarisoft)
- we will finally provide this feature, but it is not in our priority.
Deploy your local SlapOS master (https://handbook.rapid.space/rapidspace-Learning.Track/rapidspace-HowTo.Install.Slapos.Master.on.Server)
- we are developing a lighter SlapOS master for this kind of use case but the release date is not very soon
- Successfully deploying your own local slapos needs significant support from Rapid.Space (not free)
